Why do we

Eight hours in the bunk. Still wake up wrecked?

When you fall asleep, your lower jaw goes slack and drops back. Your tongue drops with it, the tissue at the back of your throat sags in, and the airway gets tight. Every breath pushes through that narrow spot and the tissue rattles. That rattle is the snoring, and it can keep pulling you out of deep sleep all night long.

Strips work on your nose. The snoring starts at your jaw.

Why the strips never worked

Strips, sprays, pillows and chin straps work on your nose or the outside of your mouth. Oruna works on your jaw, which is where the snoring starts.

Molds to your own teeth

Soften it in hot water, bite down and let it set. It takes the shape of your teeth, so it stays put all night instead of ending up on the mattress at 3 AM like the cheap one-size guards.

Top and bottom, locked together

One tray fits your top teeth, one fits your bottom teeth, and they’re connected. That’s what lets Oruna hold your lower jaw forward. A regular single-tray guard can’t do that.

You set it, not a machine

Squeeze, slide and let go to lock. Start low, move up one notch at a time until the snoring quiets down. The numbered scale lets you go right back to your setting every night.

Not another gadget. A proven principle.

Mouthpieces that move the lower jaw forward, known as mandibular advancement devices, are a recognized approach to snoring. Clinical guidelines from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine include oral appliances as a treatment option for adults with primary snoring (snoring without sleep apnea).

Oruna is an over-the-counter, heat-moldable version of this design for snoring. It is not a replacement for a CPAP or any treatment your doctor or medical examiner has prescribed. Individual results vary.

The jaw is the door to your airway

First responders know it: when someone’s airway is blocked, one of the first moves is pushing the lower jaw forward, called the jaw thrust. Oruna uses the same idea all night. It holds your jaw gently forward so your tongue can’t fall back and crowd your airway.

Set it up once

About two minutes the first time. After that, thirty seconds a night.

Soften

Soften

Heat the mouthpiece in hot water, following the included instructions. Time and temperature matter, so stick to the guide.

Bite & mold

Bite & mold

Place it in your mouth, bite down gently and press the softened material around your teeth. Let it cool to set your impression.

Set a starting position

Squeeze the release and slide to a low setting to begin. If there is a scale on each side, keep both on the same number.

Sleep & fine-tune

Sleep & fine-tune

Wear it in the bunk, the motel or at home. If you need more, go up one notch at a time over a few nights.

No mask, no hose, no power

Nothing to strap on, plug in or keep charged in the cab. Nothing recording either. It’s a mouthpiece.

Works the same wherever you park for the night, so the snoring doesn’t follow you from place to place.

Rinse and go

Brush it with cool water in the morning, let it air-dry, and it’s ready for tonight.

Strips peel off by midnight. Chin straps get ripped off at 3 AM. One-size mouthguards end up on the mattress. Here’s the difference.

What to expect

Any new mouthpiece takes a few nights to get used to. Here’s how it usually goes.

Night 1

Mold it and start low

Fit it to your teeth and set it on the lowest notch. You’ll notice it’s there the first night. That’s normal.

Nights 2–7

Get used to the feel

Mild jaw or tooth tightness in the morning, extra saliva or a dry mouth can happen while you adapt. If discomfort persists or your bite feels different, stop and check with a dentist.

Week 2+

Dial it in

Still hearing about the snoring? Move up one notch every few nights. Further forward isn’t automatically better.

Every day

Glovebox, every night

Rinse it, let it dry, back in the case. Same routine in the bunk, the motel or at home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to what drivers ask us most.

Is this a CPAP replacement? Will the DOT accept it? +

No. Oruna is a snoring aid. It is not a CPAP, it does not record usage, and it is not a DOT-accepted treatment for sleep apnea. If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea or your medical examiner has prescribed treatment, keep following that. Oruna is for snoring.

Does it track or record anything? +

No. There are no electronics in it. Nothing to charge, nothing to connect, nothing recording. It’s a molded mouthpiece and a case.

I’ve tried strips, chin straps and mouthguards. Why is this different? +

Strips and sprays work on your nose, and chin straps just hold your mouth shut. Snoring usually starts further back, when your jaw drops and your tongue crowds the airway. Oruna has an upper and lower tray joined by an adjustable mechanism, so it holds the jaw forward. Molding it to your teeth helps keep it in place all night.

Will it stop my snoring? +

It’s designed to help reduce snoring by holding your jaw forward. Snoring has more than one cause, so results vary from person to person.

Will it work in my sleeper cab? +

Yes. It needs no power, no water reservoir and no setup. It works the same in the bunk, a motel room or at home.

How do I mold it? +

Follow the instructions in the box. In short: soften it in hot water, bite down, press the material around your teeth and let it cool. Use the included time and temperature guidance rather than guessing.

What do the numbers on the side mean? +

The scale shows how far forward the lower tray sits. Start low and move up one notch every few nights if you need to. If there’s a scale on both sides, keep them on the same number.

What if someone has seen me stop breathing in my sleep? +

See a doctor. Stopping breathing, gasping or choking in your sleep goes beyond snoring and needs a proper medical check. Oruna is not a treatment for sleep apnea.

Who shouldn’t use Oruna? +

It’s for adults 18 and over. If you have loose teeth, implants, dentures, braces, gum disease or a jaw joint (TMJ) problem, check with your dentist first. Stop using it if you have ongoing pain.

How do I clean it? +

Brush it gently with cool or lukewarm water after each use. Avoid hot water after molding, since it can change the fit. Let it air-dry and keep it in its case.

What’s your return policy? +

Oruna comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Contact us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll help. See our refund policy for full details.
